YouTube has introduced a series of updates designed to help brands and creators improve conversions, expand reach, and facilitate content sharing:
Creators in the YouTube Shopping Partner Program can now tag products from participating merchants in live streams, videos, and shorts. Adding tags to featured products in live streams displays a “Shop” button, creating a more prominent way for viewers to make purchases. Creators can also pin specific products to highlight them during live broadcasts.
By navigating to the “Shopping” tab in YouTube Studio, creators can track product views and clicks for their channel. This new feature can help brands increase conversions as consumers find it easier to browse promoted products and make purchases.
YouTube has launched a dedicated feed solely for posts for Android and iOS devices. Users can access this feed by tapping the “view all posts” button, which displays posts from channels they have interacted with before, as well as recommended posts curated by YouTube.
Introducing a dedicated feed for posts only can help brands expand their reach. Since users who have previously shown interest in similar content are more likely to engage, recommending brand posts in this feed can lead to increased exposure and higher levels of interaction.
Creators can now select a file from their device gallery, choose the desired monetization setting, and complete the video or short upload process entirely within the Studio mobile app. This streamlines the content upload process, making it more convenient for creators to share their work across all platforms.
