Google will now display ads for sports betting in Delaware, but before placing ads, you must apply for accreditation. Starting January 4, the platform will show ads and accept applications for sports betting approved by state entities.

Qualified marketers planning to advertise sports betting in Delaware must apply for accreditation.

How to get certified?

If you want certification to display sports betting ads, you must follow the steps outlined in Google’s policy. If you meet the requirements of a specific country, you will be granted certification:

  • Privately-licensed operators. If you are in a country where Google allows online gambling content, you can fill out the online gambling application form in the Google Ads Help Center.
  • State-run entities. If you are in a country where Google only allows advertising of gambling games for state-run entities, you should use a special gambling application. When completing the form, in the “Summary of the issue” section, specify that you seek certification as a state-run gambling entity. After that, provide the URL of your site. In ‘Campaign name and ad group name’: Enter N/A if you have not created a campaign or ad group.
  • Social casino operators. Use this form to submit your site or app URL, Google Ads client ID, and the country group you’re targeting. You should submit a separate application for each country in which you wish to target your Ads.
