TikTok has launched a new feature called Creator Search Insights, allowing creators to track search trends on the platform.
Accessible through the app by searching “Creator Search Insights,” this tool is aimed at providing creators with useful insights for inspiration and improving their content creation process.
Creating trending content has the potential to boost your visibility and reach on TikTok, as there is active demand for it. This increased demand also increases the likelihood of engagement with your content.
With this tool, you can filter search topics by “trends” or “for you”. “Trends” show popular searches across the app, while “for you” provides searches relevant to your content. Upon selecting either option, you’ll see a list of the most popular search terms along with their popularity percentage. You can also save these search terms.
Creator Search Insights will highlight frequently searched topics, which creators can organize by categories (such as tourism, sports, science) or customize based on their content type using the “For You” option. Additionally, creators can filter for “content gaps,” meaning topics that are highly searched but have relatively few videos on TikTok covering them.
To underscore the importance of TikTok’s search features, the platform will begin factoring search value into its Creator Rewards Program. This means that creating content related to popular search topics will increase the search value of creators’ content, potentially leading to increased rewards and recognition.
