Google today announced the launch of Ask Ad Manager, a new intelligent agent powered by Gemini AI integrated into the Google Ad Manager platform. The tool is designed to automate routine operations, provide in-depth performance analysis, and accelerate strategic decision-making for publishers and marketers.

The tool is scheduled to launch in beta this month, with features rolling out over the course of the year.

Key features of Ask Ad Manager

Ask Ad Manager functions as a personalized dialog interface (chat agent) that uses only the internal data of a specific user, which guarantees a high level of confidentiality and security of corporate information.

The developers identify three key areas of application for the assistant

Real-time diagnostics and troubleshooting

The tool eliminates the need for lengthy manual analysis of reports to find errors in line items. Marketers can receive precise troubleshooting recommendations via text queries, minimizing the risk of unblocked revenue.

Generation of individual reporting using prompts

Instead of manually summing up multiple reports and metrics, the user can form a query in any form. The AI agent instantly generates analytical reports, comparative tables, or benchmarks.

Simplified navigation and contextual adaptation

Ask Ad Manager optimizes interaction time with the platform interface. Based on the context of the dialogue, the assistant provides direct links to the necessary sections of Google Ad Manager with the appropriate filters and settings already applied.

Prospects for the development of agent technologies (Agentic AI) in ad tech

The implementation of Ask Ad Manager is part of Google’s broader strategy to move to “agentic” AI capabilities in the ad tech industry. The goal of the transformation is to automate the entire lifecycle of advertising campaigns — from inventory forecasting to pricing and fulfillment.

Market experience: Large media holdings, including Yahoo, are already integrating Google Ad Manager capabilities into their own custom AI agents to optimize media operations, forecast, and automatically create ad positions.

To scale such solutions, Google plans to release new developer tools this year, including REST APIs and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers. This will allow for seamless integration of media trafficking processes into companies’ internal AI systems.

In addition, specialized agents are being developed for interaction between publishers and agencies, which will allow automating the processes of buying and selling advertising directly within the platform, as well as infrastructure for scalable interaction between AI agents of the first and third parties (1st and 3rd party agents).

Business value

For marketing departments of medium and large businesses, the implementation of Ask Ad Manager means a significant reduction in the operational workload on specialists. Transferring routine analytical and technical tasks into a formatдіалогу з ШІ дозволить перерозподілити ресурси команд на користь стратегічного планування, медіахайтингу та масштабування бізнес-показників.
