A strategic approach to implementing AI in Google Ads
How to Drive Revenue from AI Search
The Impact of an English-Language Website Version on Visibility in ChatGPT, Google AI, and Copilot
Elementor has officially launched Elementor MCP, a new way to connect AI tools such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible assistants directly to Elementor websites. For web developers, agencies, and marketers, this is a meaningful step: AI is no longer just helping write copy, suggest layouts, or generate snippets outside the site. It can now work inside the actual WordPress and Elementor environment.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. In simple terms, it gives AI tools a structured way to understand and interact with a website. With Elementor MCP, an assistant can create pages, edit layouts, work with design system variables, manage theme parts, use components, and connect dynamic content. The key point is that the result is not a flat screenshot or disposable code experiment. Elementor says the output is saved as real, editable Elementor structure, which means a designer, developer, or client can still open the page in the visual editor and continue working as usual.
That matters because most AI website workflows still create a gap between “AI draft” and “production-ready page.” A marketer may ask an AI tool for a landing page, but a developer still has to rebuild it inside WordPress. A designer may generate a layout, but someone has to translate it into the site’s existing system. Elementor MCP aims to shorten that path. A campaign brief, Figma reference, content document, or product description can become a working Elementor page much faster.
For agencies, the biggest benefit may be workflow speed. Routine landing pages, campaign updates, product blocks, popups, archive templates, and content changes are exactly the kind of tasks that slow teams down when they pile up. If AI can prepare the first structured version inside Elementor, human specialists can spend more time on judgment: messaging, conversion logic, accessibility, brand consistency, and final QA.
Importantly, Elementor is not presenting this as a replacement for the editor or for professional review. Generated work is saved as a draft, and the regular Elementor Editor remains unchanged. That is a smart product decision. It keeps AI useful without making it reckless. Teams can experiment, review, adjust, and publish only when the result is ready.
The launch also arrives at a moment when the wider WordPress ecosystem is visibly active. In the Themes Team update from September 22, 2026, WordPress reported more than 1,000 theme-related tickets closed over the previous seven days, including 39 new themes and 1,049 theme updates made live. The same update noted that the Create Block Theme plugin has passed 20,000 active installs. For marketers and builders, this is a useful signal: WordPress continues to evolve around visual creation, block-based design, and faster site iteration.
That context makes Elementor MCP especially interesting. WordPress is already a massive platform for business websites, ecommerce, publishing, and lead generation. Elementor is one of the most widely used visual builders in that ecosystem. By giving AI tools a controlled bridge into the building layer, Elementor is positioning itself for a future where website creation is less about starting from a blank canvas and more about directing intelligent systems with clear goals.
For developers, this could reduce repetitive implementation work while still preserving control over structure, responsive behavior, dynamic data, and site architecture. For marketers, it could make campaign execution faster: briefs can move from idea to editable page draft in minutes rather than days. For business owners, it may lower the friction of keeping a website current.
There are still practical questions. Teams will need good review processes, clear permissions, reliable prompts, and a shared understanding of what AI should and should not touch. But the direction is obvious: AI website creation is moving from external generators into real production tools.
Elementor MCP is not just another AI feature. It is a sign that WordPress workflows are becoming more connected, more automated, and more collaborative. The winners will not be the teams that hand everything over to AI, but the ones that learn how to use it as a faster starting point for better human work.
